These pictures are from my three year anniversary. My husband left these notes around the house so that I found them as I woke up and went about my day. He knows me so well. He put the first one on the bathroom mirror, the second one on the television, and the last one in the sugar canister. All places where he knew that I would without a doubt find them first thing.
I haven't participated in the grateful linky in awhile. But after having the best holiday weekend, even though today on the last day of it I am fighting a cold, I thought I'd write a nice little grateful post.
About my super amazing husband.
I know that I've written about him before, but he really deserves another round of applause. He does sweet things like leave notes around the house for me, and he takes me to neat places where I can pet camels right on their faces. These places advertise giraffe face petting, but that's a lie. And a post for another day.
My husband wanted to go buy a tv from his old high school friend for Jakob's room, and so we had to drive a long way to get it. He decided to make it a fun little tour of Oklahoma road trip for me.
We went to a wilderness park where I saw many cool things (post forthcoming with photos! stay tuned!). We bought lots of fried pies, and those are easily one of the most delicious things I've tasted in my life. Seriously, where have fried pies been my whole life? In the Arbuckle Mountains, that's where! Then we ate at a place called Punkins. This is where I ate the most delicious fried green tomatoes and catfish. I mean it was obviously a healthy eating day! Then I napped in the car on the way home, and boy do I love a good road trip nap!
My husband is easily one of the greatest men I've ever met. This is not to say he's perfect, but he does try really hard to make my life and Jakob's life better. What else can a girl ask for?
This post is part of a linky hosted by Octavia and Vicky.
Head on over, and check out the rest of the grateful posts.
You won't be disappointed.
