I was invited to a preview of Rachel McAdam's new movie About Time, so tonight Tim and I headed over to the movie theater. We got there early since we still needed to exchange our invitation for tickets, and we were very excited because it didn't look like there was a line. A huge popcorn and two buckets of coca cola to assist in our viewing pleasure, as people do.
Then we headed down to our theater. Number twelve. And we saw the line.
Tim immediately started complaining. He doesn't want people to touch him when he sits down. He doesn't like crowds. On and on and on.
Finally we get into the theater. Tim doesn't even have to sit next to anyone, and it wasn't that crowded. Also, we barely had to sit through any stupid previews.
The movie itself was amazing.
Although I feel like Rachel McAdams has played some slightly similar roles before. She is good at them, so I get it. The plot line moved along well, and there was a lot of witty humor to keep the laughter coming. The humor was not so witty that only intellectuals would find it funny. There was plenty of awkward funny moments, and at one point I spit my coke all over myself laughing.
It is rated R for language and sexual situations, but if the F word doesn't offend you then you won't mind at all.
I recommend it and give it four stars.
